Marcinho [mar-SING-you] (Senior Event Designer): is an award-winning designer and our general team leader.  Starting with the company in 2004, he is widely acclaimed as a devoted, detailed and client-focused Planner and Team Leader.  In conjunction with our satellite teams, he personally supervises every wedding and event that we do.  He is also a recognized travel agent with our Travel subsidiary: savvyTravel™ and an, authorized, Disney Travel Agent.

“HI!  I’m the Senior Event Designer for savvyplanners.com™!  My name is Marcinho .

I’m the guy that is devoted to making certain that the weddings and events we produce for our clients are dreams come true!

My passion for this business and art, is rooted in the fact that I cannot EVER have my DREAM WEDDING!  At least not at the moment!   It isn’t LEGAL for me to get married in most places in my country.  So I derive extraordinary pleasure working tirelessly to design events that I’d be proud to attend, host or create for our client-family.

So even though my wedding is illegal in most of the country, I get to use my experience, passion and knowledge to make certain that EVERY bride or groom gets the wedding of a lifetime!  I get to live it through THEIR eyes!  That’s AWESOME!

I guess that means I actually get to experience my ultimate wedding time and time again by making them happen for others!

Key West Team Leader

Rich ['rik'] (Key West Team Leader):

This Working actor/singer/dancer/director/choreographer/lighting designer and all around theater deity joined the team in 2005 and has been working on the ground in Key West since that time.

He has been wedded to Jack for more than twenty years and the two have raised a grown daughter preparing to enter college.  Rich’s sense of style and his experience make our Key West team click beautifully!

California Team Leader

Rená [re-NAY] (West Coast Team Leader):

Joined the team in 2007 while running her own, very successful event company
in Orange County, California.

She directs the teams serving Beverly Hills, Los Angeles and San Francisco.  Her client list includes: Hyundai, Coca Cola, Taco Bell, and Old Navy.  The client list also showcases a
number of celebrities, such as Arnold Schwarzenegger and Robert Guillaume.  It is our honor to have her on the team!

Indian Weddings Director

Sonia

(Asian Indian Weddings Team Leader):

has a great number of traditional Hindu, Muslim and Sikh ceremonies to her credit and is well aware of all the many cultural variations between types of weddings.

Sonia has been engaged to create weddings as distant as England, Canada (Toronto), Dubai, Kuwait and, of course, India.

.  And while she has done many, and they are, in many ways similar, Sonia manages to bring a certain flair and originality to the event as well.  From the Mandap  to the Mendhi,  your traditions and protocol are unerringly honored and respected.

Mary

(Event Coordinator):

Not only an M.F.A in Dance from Rutgers University, she is the mother of three and an experienced actor, choreographer and director.
Pulling from her lifelong experience in dance and performance all over the world, her timings, organization and follow-through are truly astounding.  She has a wonderful eye and is a vital part of this team since 2005.

Frank (Global Technical Director):

With dozens of years of  professional theatre and stagecraft to his credit, he brings technical expertise and mechanical prowess to the team since 2005.

He is also the husband of Mary and the father of their three children.  We joke that “Marcinho makes
it pretty and Frank makes it WORK!”

Anthony

(Event Design Coordinator): is an innovative, hardworking and skilled designer with
an unmistakable thirst for elegance and perfection.

His background includes running his own event planning company and freelancing for major event organizers in NYC.  We are honored to involve him whenever he’s available.
